Breathing Mountain Air

Do you want to know what is good for the mind, body, and soul? The mountains. After spending the weekend up in some of Utah’s finest I was reminded of how breathtakingly beautiful they are. I was not mad about having this view all weekend.

I think I get why Utah is such a mecca of rehabilitation centers. The mountains provide some sort of beautiful therapy that is hard to describe unless you’ve taken it all in for yourself. There is just something to be said about clear blue skies, vast green vegetation, and crisp clean mountain air.
Some friends and I went to SB’s cabin for the weekend and had such a great time.
We ate some good food, hung out with SB’s family, rode 4 wheelers, played games, and relaxed.
Exercise came in the form of Just Dance 2 and Michael Jackson “The Experience.” I love games like this because everyone claims that they don’t want to do it, but it is hard to deny shaking your hips to some MJ when it comes down to it.
 That’s right. Get it Boys.
We also helped do some winter prep.
We chopped wood, moved logs, and cleared some brush.
My favorite part? The 4wheeler adventure.
It was such a pretty day.
No cell phone service. No computer. No television. No gym schedule.
It was just what the Dr. Ordered.

Do you find nature to be recharging and rejuvenating? I know I certainly do. There is just something about being outside that is very soothing and relaxing. Do you ever take breaks from your technology? It makes me sad to see kids who prefer to play inside on their computers than go run around outside, and yet I know that is the way we are headed.

I always hate to leave technology behind, but the weekends I almost find impossible to blog. I do find it refreashing when I leave my computer behind and enjoy the outdoors.
